Aston Villa should target this Tottenham 26-year-old to help in their promotion push

The January transfer window will be a vital month to see how Aston Villa’s Championship season will pan out, following a slow start to the campaign.
A new managerial appointment in mid-October has seen the Midlands giants record six wins from their 11 games, a vast change from the one victory in 11 matches under Roberto Di Matteo.
Steve Bruce has added a much-needed boost to the side, but he will need to do the same again when the transfer window opens next month.
One player he should target is Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier because the 24-year-old will bring a winning mentality and more quality to Villa Park.
Bruce’s current first-choice right-back is Alan Hutton, following the season-ending injury to summer signing Ritchie De Laet. The third choice, Micah Richards, has only been played once under the new manager.

If Villa are to gain instant promotion this season then they must add a fresh face to their defensive line and Trippier fits the bill for a number of reasons.
Trippier won promotion with Burnley during the 2013/14 season, but has struggled for game-time since his move to White Hart Lane.
He has played seven games in all competitions this term but has only played 11 minutes of Premier League football, as Mauricio Pochettino has opted to play Kyle Walker as first choice.
Villa might have a shot at getting him on loan and he would add a much-needed attacking threat on the right-hand side as well as adding solidity to the defence.
It would be a big upgrade on Hutton, who tries hard but is unable to help someone like Albert Adomah on the right wing and pose an attacking threat.
