Everton boss Ronald Koeman has delivered a shattering update on Yannick Bolasie during the club’s recent press conference.
The 28-year-old has posted a number of promising and exciting updates on social media over recent weeks which suggested to supporters that he would make a comeback sooner than expected.
Most recently, the winger shared a video on his personal Twitter account which showed him doing a series of football tricks at the Finch Farm training complex which looked to imply he was close to returning.
His boss has put an end to the speculation from fans and revealed that the video clips he has posted are misleading to where he is in his recovery.
“He is further away than the clips are showing. He is doing well, working hard,” Koeman said, as quoted by Liverpool Echo journalist Phil Kirkbride on his personal Twitter account.

The Congo international moved to Goodison Park from Crystal Palace last summer and managed just 15 appearances for the Toffees before he sustained his injury.
During the Blues’ 1-1 clash against Manchester United in December last year the winger suffered a nasty knee ligament injury which has seen him sidelined ever since.
Fans want Bolasie back in action as soon as possible and his videos installed hope in many, but it looks as though the Congo winger will remain in the dugout for a little while longer.
