'Back to his best' - Celtic fans hail defender for performance in win v Partick

Celtic supporters have taken to social media to hail defender Kieran Tierney following his performance against Partick Thistle.

The Scottish international returned in style after being substituted at half-time in the 4-0 defeat to Hearts which ended the Hoops’ unbeaten run, scoring the second goal in the Hoops’ 2-0 win.

Fans were particularly pleased to see Tierney score his goal in the 67th minute, a special minute to all Hoops fans as it celebrates the Lisbon Lions.

As for the match itself, the Hoops struggled to break down Partick until a wonder strike from Stuart Armstrong opened the scoring in the 35th minute.

The second-half was far better from the league leaders as the Celts dominated the game, and after Odsonne Edouard twice had efforts saved Tierney linked-up with Sinclair before hammering the ball home in the 67th minute.

The Hoops then missed a few chances to increase their lead and the game ended 2-0, as the Bhoys returned to winning ways following the loss against Hearts.

The win was vital as it took Celtic five points clear of Aberdeen, before the teams meet at Celtic Park in a top of the table clash at Celtic Park.
