The saga of the Leeds manager shows no signs of letting up, although the conclusion could be coming to an end quickly.
Two key developments were reported on Thursday – the first from the Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon, who said that Paul Heckingbottom was seeking showdown talks with Victor Orat, Leeds’ director of football, when he returns from his holidays.
This is believed to be on Saturday, according to Leeds Live.
Mike Thornton, an Elland Road Insider with links to fan groups, responded to Nixon’s tweet, and posted a message that would shift the narrative dramatically.
He claimed that Leeds fans could be looking at the story the wrong way round – and that rather than Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta calling the shots, it could be Heckingbottom who is not happy and seeking assurances/changes before agreeing to stay on.
Sounds like you are confirming what I've been saying for the last few weeks Alan?

Thornton also revealed one very interesting titbit, that there would be a backroom change soon at Elland Road that “Hecky will be pleased with”.
With no official confirmation, the world is at the mercy of the bits of information that are flying around Elland Road.
And, as with most of these things, the truth is probably somewhere among all of them.
One way or another though, Heck’s imminent return from his holidays suggests that all will become clear in the next few days.
And, whether Heckingbottom goes or stays, clarity will be good for everyone connected with the club.
