Bad news for Sancho as Man United star told he's 'not going to play' - pundit
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s switch to a wing-back system signals “worrying times” for Jadon Sancho at Man United, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Sancho will be regretting his decision to swap Borussia Dortmund for Man United.
The winger has only started one game across all competitions since the beginning of October.
He was an unused substitute in the 3-0 win over Tottenham at the weekend and was reduced to a three-minute cameo against Atalanta on Tuesday night.
“That formation doing well against Spurs was the last thing Jadon Sancho wanted to see,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“He doesn’t play anywhere in that formation. The only people that will end up coming in is Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood who will be rotated with Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo as the two strikers.

“The wing-backs will stay the same. In midfield, you could maybe rest Bruno Fernandes and bring in Jesse Lingard. Nemanja Matic may come in for Scott McTominay or Fred.
“But it’s not a formation that is built for wingers. Out-and-out wingers who aren’t strikers, like Sancho, this is what you dread.
“If you’re a winger, you’re not going to play. Look at Hakim Ziyech, he doesn’t play much for Chelsea.
“It’s worrying times for Sancho. I bet he’s scratching his head thinking ‘Why did I come here?’.
“I think he’ll definitely miss out on the England squad. If he’s in the England squad, somethings wrong. The last international squad was different, Southgate gave him a chance but you can’t do that when he’s not really played for a month.”
