Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has rejected a last-gasp transfer to Chelsea following a remarkable U-turn, according to a report.
Sky Sports News claimed, as reported by their transfer centre blog on Thursday night (10.13pm), that the Merseysiders had agreed a £30million fee with the west Londoners.
It is said that the England international travelled to London and began his medical, but he changed his mind.
Barkley, 23, is now expected to return to Everton, where he has just 10 months remaining on his contract.
The playmaker has also been strongly linked with a deadline day move to Tottenham.
In other Everton transfer news, this Toffees attacker was omitted from the squad against Chelsea amid reported interest from elsewhere.
