Celtic and Bayern recently met in two encounters in the Champions League Group Stages, Bayern easily winning 3-0 in Munich whilst Celtic put up a much better fight in Glasgow, ultimately losing 2-1.
The teams previously met in the competition in 2003, with Bayern winning 2-1 in Munich and the teams drawing 0-0 in Glasgow.
Both sides had good results at the weekend; Celtic established a new British domestic record of 63 games unbeaten with a 4-0 win over St Johnstone, which moved them three points clear of Aberdeen at the top of the league.
Bayern defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-1 at the Westfalenstadion, and they currently lead the Bundesliga by four points, with Leipzig in second place.
The teams now rest for the international break, with Celtic returning to action to play Ross County with Bayern having a game against Augsburg before the Champions League returns.
Celtic then face a difficult trip to Paris to play PSG whilst Bayern have a far simpler looking trip to Anderlecht.
