BBC: Forward suffers injury blow and will miss Rangers clash v Motherwell
Motherwell forward Nadir Ciftci will miss the clash against Rangers at Fir Park on Saturday with an ankle injury, according to a report.
BBC Sport claims that Ciftci, 26, could be joined on the sidelines by Allan Campbell, who is a doubt, while Cedric Kipre is available to play after having his red card against Celtic earlier this month rescinded.
Ciftci is currently on loan at Motherwell from Celtic and will miss his second game in a row for the Steelmen after being ineligible to play against his parent club before the international break.
The Turkish striker has made 11 appearances in all competitions while on loan at Fir Park, scoring just one goal.
He spent the first half of the season on loan at Plymouth in England but barely got a game for the League One club before he returned to Parkhead in January and was shipped out to Motherwell.

Ciftci will probably be gutted that he won’t be able to show Celtic what he can do against Rangers, but given his awful form this season, there’s probably no chance that he would have been able to make much of an impact. Motherwell have struggled since losing Louis Moult and if Ciftci was meant to replace the now Preston striker then Stephen Robinson has lost the plot. He’s nowhere near good enough for anyone in the Scottish Premiership and Rangers, if anything, should be gutted that he will not be playing this weekend.
