Poch must axe big-game player in Turin switch-up: Tottenham best possible XI v Juventus
Huge Lloris (Goalkeeper) – Vorm gets all the FA Cup games and Lloris gets the Premier League and Champions League. That’s the natural order and Lloris will start on Wednesday.
Kieran Trippier (Right-back) – Serge Aurier is suspended and Tottenham fans might be glad that this takes the decision out of Pochettino’s hands. He’s been a liability at times this season and although Tripper doesn’t have his pace, he’s the best option here.
Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Vertonghen came through training last week and was perhaps a surprise starter against Huddersfield. We thought he might have been rested but he came through the 90 minutes unscathed. In the absence of Alderweireld, that’s important.
Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – Solid and with Alderweireld out Sanchez gets to continues his fine run in the Tottenham team.
Ben Davies (Left-back) – Danny Rose was spotted in an ‘animated’ conversation with Pochettino in training on Tuesday and we suspect it’s because he was told he won’t be starting on Wednesday. We wouldn’t have thought he would have expected to. Davies is the new number one left-back at Spurs and we’d be amazed if he doesn’t get the nod from Poch here.
