With the January transfer window fast approaching, Football Insider has assembled a team full of stars who could be making a loan move in 2017 in search of more game time.
Liverpool senior stars Mamadou Sakho, Daniel Sturridge and Simon Mignolet could all be looking for January loan moves when the window opens.
Klopp has made it clear that Sakho is no longer part of his plans and though he has been linked with a number of moves to Italy and France the centre-back would do well at a number of Premier League sides.
Mignolet is unlikely to leave given Liverpool’s lack of goalkeeping options but he could push for a loan move in search of first team action after being knocked off the number one spot by Loris Karius.
The duo are joined in the best possible XI with star striker Daniel Sturridge who could be one of the biggest names to make a move in January.
He has been linked with a move to Arsenal among several clubs and his talent will be sure to attract a lot of Premier League clubs.
Matteo Darmian has made just five league starts under Jose Mourinho this season and will likely be leaving Manchester United in January so he makes the cut at left-back.
There are also places in defence for exciting young duo Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The Chelsea and United academy graduates are on the fringes of first team but a six-month loan spell elsewhere could help them cross the line for next season.
Joining Sturridge in attack is United flop Memphis Depay who has struggled to hit the heights since making a high-profile move to Old Trafford last summer.
He has struggled to get in the side ahead of Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial so a loan move would be ideal for him to prove his worth.
The midfield is packed with talent and its surprising to see these stars struggling to make it at their current clubs.
Ross Barkley is still young and will no doubt have a future at Everton but Ronald Koeman is yet to be convinced and he’s getting increasingly less opportunities to show the manager why he should be starting.
He could look elsewhere, along with Cesc Fabregas who has been told by Antonio Conte he will not feature regularly in the starting XI at Chelsea.
United’s Morgan Schneiderlin could be nearing the exit door too and Fabian Delph’s Manchester City needs a spark so a loan spell could be ideal for him.
In other Liverpool news, this youngster has been promised an opportunity by Klopp.
