Peter Reid has made a stunning statement about Tottenham ace Dele Alli by claiming he is “better than” club legend Glenn Hoddle.
Former Spurs and England midfield maestro Hoddle is regarded as one of the club’s greatest ever players having played at White Hart Lane for over 12 years during the 1970’s and 80’s.
During his playing days, Hoddle was hailed for his spectacular goals, his ability to play with both feet and create chances out of nothing.
England international Alli is beginning to show early signs that he has the capabilities of doing what Hoddle produced on a regular basis over 30 years ago.
Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys posted the bold comments from Reid on his personal Twitter account.
“Dele Alli is better than Glenn Hoddle,” said Reid. “I should know, I played with Hoddle.”

Alli is having yet another spectacular season in England’s top flight following his £5million move from League One outfit MK Dons during the summer of 2015.
The 20-year-old won huge plaudits for his performances in his debut season in the Premier League, winning the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award.
He has carried that form through to this campaign where he has taken his performances to another level by scoring a number of hugely important goals.
Alli has played 42 Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League matches for the club this season, scoring 19 goals and supplying 10 assists.
In 30 league matches, the England star has found the back of the net on 16 occasions, an incredible feat for a player that plays in the middle of the park.
