Betting latest: Aston Villa favourites to sign exciting attacker after contract update, Leeds also in running

Aston Villa have been installed as the clear favourites to land Liverpool’s exciting youngster Ryan Kent on loan this season, according to a leading bookie.

Kent signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool on Thursday and the news was announced on their official Twitter page.

However, it is still likely that he will be sent out on loan to gain more first-team experience, despite impressing the Liverpool hierarchy in pre-season.

If he is made available for loan, there are reportedly a host of Championship clubs that would be keen for his signature.

The Birmingham Mail claimed that Jurgen Klopp wanted him to go out to gain more first-team experience and that Aston Villa were the favourites to secure his signature.

The newspaper also claimed that Leeds and Middlesborough were keen on claiming his as their own for the season.

He has a price of just 7/4 to join Villa in the summer transfer window, with Middlesborough (6/1), Hull (6/1) and Leeds (10/1) also credited with a price.
