Betting latest: Leeds second faves to seal Jan swoop for 12-goal centre-forward from PL club
Leeds United have been installed joint second-favourites to sign Bournemouth forward Lewis Grabban during the January transfer window, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
BetVictor have priced Leeds and Aston Villa both at 10/1 in the running to seal a swoop for Grabban, 30, before the end of the month while Cardiff (4/5) are the major favourites.
Grabban was recalled from his loan at Sunderland earlier this month after scoring 12 goals in 19 Championship appearances, however he is now back at Premier League club Bournemouth and could be on the move within the coming days.
Wolves (12/1) and Newcastle (14/1) are also in the running to sign the former Millwall and Norwich centre-forward, but it looks as though most of the money is on him hooking up with Neil Warnock at Cardiff as the Welsh side look to secure their second promotion to the Premier League.
Grabban told Sunderland earlier this month that he wanted to end his loan spell at the Stadium of Light despite being their most in form player as they struggle at the bottom end of the Championship.
Chris Coleman did not stand in the forward’s way, as he allowed him to rejoin Bournemouth, however he has failed to make any of Eddie Howe’s matchday squads since switching the north-east for the south coast.
In other Leeds United news, fans on Twitter are furious after it was announced that yet another midfielder has left Elland Road.
