Bielsa tipped to axe Leeds star after brilliant display to make way for Raphinha recall v Burnley - Whelan
Noel Whelan has tipped Marcelo Bielsa to axe Mateusz Klich to bring Raphinha back into the Leeds United starting XI against Burnley.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted the midfielder’s standout performance against Tottenham may not be enough to save him from being dropped.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Bielsa confirmed Raphinha, as well as Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo, were all fit and available for Saturday.
The Brazilian winger made his comeback from injury with a 30-minute runout in the 3-1 win over Spurs last week.
Whelan admitted Klich put in one of his best performances of the season against the north Londoners.
However, he suggested the Poland international would be benched to bring Raphinha back into the starting XI.

Asked who he thought could be dropped for Raphinha, Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think you’ve got to look at Mateusz Klich.
“Even though I think that was probably his best display to date since the beginning of the season. I think you’re giving the benefit of the doubt to Tyler Roberts playing in that position.
“We’re still left wanting in that number 10 role. I think you’ve got to put Stuart Dallas back into that midfield area. He just gives you so much more energy, positivity and directness and link-up play. Even though I’ve got to say Klich was back to his best.
“I think against Burnley you’ve got to try and take the game to them. You’ve got to play Raphinha and move that energy of Dallas back into that midfield role.”
Raphinha has not started for Leeds since the 2-1 win over Manchester City last month.
He suffered a hematoma in a collision with Fernandinho and was sidelined for a month.
