‘Bissouma and Bentancur face Tottenham exit over contract situation’
Thomas Frank could lose the base of his midfield this summer as Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur face uncertain futures at Tottenham.
The duo have often shared duties in the middle of the park, though game time has been hard to come by for either star following the arrivals of Pape Sarr and Lucas Bergvall.
Tottenham also appear close to agreeing a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest after the signing of Mohammed Kudus, with a new era clearly beginning in North London.
Supporters were delighted with the attack under Ange Postecoglou, but with control often lost in midfield and in front of the defence, only four Premier League teams leaked more goals than the Lilywhites.
That may be about to get even more difficult under the new manager’s leadership, unless he can solve the contract situations of Bissouma and Bentancur ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

According to The Times (11 July), with Bissouma and Bentancur both having just a year left on their respective contracts, the duo could be allowed to leave if they cannot be tied down to new deals.
The former has been with the Lilywhites for three seasons, arriving from Brighton on a £25million deal [BBC Sport], while the latter has been at the club for an extra season after joining from Juventus.
Dejan Kulusevski, who has been linked with a Tottenham exit, and James Maddison have been joined by Kudus in the final third, and possibly soon to be joined by Nottingham Forest’s biggest star.

Daniel Levy has been fairly criticised by the Tottenham faithful over the years for his lack of investment on the pitch, but the owner appears to be turning over a new leaf with some new funds appearing.

Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Tottenham are ready to spend £200million in a transfer blitz in North London, though that could also see multiple outgoings.
Cristian Romero‘s move to Atletico Madrid looks to have fallen through, but that does mean the Argentine will remain in England ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, and that is the same for multiple players.
Manor Solomon, Son Heung-min, Richarlison, and Pedro Porro have all been linked with exits, and with Bentancur and Bissouma also running out of contract, it is a summer of change for the Lilywhites.
Alfie Whiteman, Sergio Reguilon, and Fraser Forster have all left as free agents, with Alejo Veliz also leaving for Argentina on loan, and further exits could follow.
