Bobby Clark undergoing medical today after Liverpool deal agreed – sources

Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark is undergoing an RB Salzburg medical on Wednesday ahead of finalising his £10million move away from Anfield, sources have told Football Insider.

He has agreed the terms of a five-year contract with the French outfit, with the deal expected to be completed imminently.

The 19-year-old isn’t part of Arne Slot’s plans at Anfield, with the Reds opting to cash in on him instead.

Clark wasn’t part of the match-day squad for Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Ipswich Town on the opening day of the Premier League campaign.

Football Insider revealed that Leeds United had registered an interest in Clark, with Sheffield United and Norwich City having also been keen on the midfielder.

Rangers and Celtic were both keen on signing the Englishman, as per the Liverpool Echo journalist Paul Gorst.

However, RB Salzburg beat all three Championship clubs to his signature to secure a permanent move for the teenager.

Liverpool have deemed Bobby Clark surplus to requirements

Clark is under contract at Anfield until 2028, but Slot has deemed him surplus to requirements and has green-lit the permanent sale.

The midfielder made his first-team debut in 2022 against Bournemouth under Jurgen Klopp, who was a fan of the teenager.

Clark has made 14 appearances for the Reds throughout his time with the club and signed a new contract in 2023.

Another player who could be on his way out of Anfield this month is Stefan Bajcetic after the club have been “besieged” with offers for him.

Football Insider confirmed that would only be a loan deal as Arne Slot has big plans for him, with his departure only getting the green light if Liverpool buy a number six.
