Borussia Dortmund set sights on signing Oleksandr Zinchenko – sources
Borussia Dortmund are weighing up a move to sign Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Dortmund have been long-term admirers of the 28-year-old and are prepared to revisit their interest this summer.
Having lost his left-back position to 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly, Zinchenko is believed to be open to a permanent move away from the Emirates.
Arsenal were prepared to sell Zinchenko in January but did not receive an acceptable offer, while Mikel Arteta opted to keep him for added strength in depth.
Ahead of the summer window, though, their stance has shifted as they are prepared to let a number of fringe players leave the club to free up space for incoming signings.

Oleksandr Zinchenko to leave Arsenal after Dortmund latest
Brown told Football Insider in January that Arsenal would look to sell Zinchenko in the summer if they were unsuccessful during the mid-season window.
The left-back has no place in Arteta’s plans for the future and the Gunners are planning to raise funds and free up wages from his sale.
So far this season, he has featured in just 17 games across all competitions and has started just two Premier League games, the last time in December, and is believed to be keen to play more regular football.
A move to Dortmund would allow him that opportunity as he looks to get his career back on track after falling down the pecking order at Arsenal.
Lewis-Skelly’s emergence has boosted Arsenal and England, but has also forced Zinchenko to consider his options ahead of the window.

Mikel Arteta to oversee fringe player clear-out at the Emirates
Alongside Zinchenko, Arsenal are planning to lose several fringe players in the summer as they aim to free up wages for incoming signings.
Football Insider revealed that Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga will both leave the Emirates following loan spells at Lazio and Sevilla respectively.
Tavares has enjoyed a successful loan spell at Lazio, and is now expected to remain in Italy where he has established himself as a crucial player under Marco Baroni.
Meanwhile, Sevilla have begun exploring a permanent deal for Lokonga, who has spent three loan spells away from Arsenal since January 2023.
