'Plain and simple' - BBC pundit says what set Celtic apart from Rangers at Ibrox
BBC Sportsound pundit Tam McManus believes that Celtic’s ‘bottle’ set them apart from Rangers in the Hoops’ 3-2 victory at Ibrox on Sunday.
The Bhoys managed to pull off a season defining victory even when reduced to ten men after the sending-off of Jozo Simunovic, as Odsonne Edouard’s winning goal moved them nine points clear of their bitter rivals.
McManus, as quoted on his personal Twitter page, was highly impressed with the performance of Brendan Rodgers’ side, and warned the Gers that the defeat was a major opportunity missed.
“That’s why they are Champions. Plain and simple. Bottle that Celtic showed was incredible and class shone through even with 10 men. Rangers will never get a better chance to beat Celtic.”

The Hoops were behind twice in the match, but manged to overcome this to record their fourth consecutive victory at Ibrox.
It now seems only a matter of time before the Bhoys win their seventh title in a row.

It’s not all about bottle that separates the Hoops from the rest, but that does have a lot to do with it. The Hoops’ didn’t panic after Simunovic’s sending-off, they just continued to play their normal game, which in turn lead to the winning goal. There’s a winning mentality about the team which no other side in Scotland is able to match, which is typified by the likes of captain Scott Brown who has an incredible will to win. Results like the victory at Ibrox will only serve to drive the Hoops on to great glory, it’s what the manager will demand of his team and what the supporters will expect.
