Brendan Rodgers makes huge claim about Celtic fringe star
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has lavished praise on loan striker Odsonne Edouard.
The Frenchman was the hero of Celtic’s 5-1 victory over Motherwell at Celtic Park today, helping himself to a hat-trick.
Rodgers, speaking to Celtic’s official Twitter account after today’s game, described the 19-year-old as “the top young players in world football”.
He said: “He is one of the top young players in world football for his age.
“He has just had to bide his time, settle in to the country and our way of working, but you can see today that quality he has.”

The other star of the game was Celtic substitute James Forrest, who continued his great form of this season with two goals in the game, which took his total this season to ten, which is already his best ever return from a season.
Celtic return to action on Tuesday in the Champions League, with their final group stage match against Belgian champions Anderlecht.
The likes of Leigh Griffiths, Jozo Simunovic and Moussa Dembele should all return to the squad for Tuesday night’s game after none were involved today.
The Bhoys are in great position to finish third in their group and clinch Europa League football after Christmas.
They lead the Belgian side by three points and three goals, meaning that Anderlecht would have to win by four clear goals at Celtic Park to pip the Hoops to third place in the group.
