Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that both Andre Green and captain John Terry are set to return to action for the club in the next couple of weeks.

Skipper and talisman Terry, a free transfer from Chelsea in the summer, suffered a devastating injury blow when he broke his metatarsal against Sheffield Wednesday on the 4th of November.

His injury has seen him miss out on six Championship games so far as Villa look to secure promotion back to the Premier League, having appeared in every minute of the campaign before that.

Terry is “on track”, according to Bruce, and is set to return in around two weeks.

Winger Green suffered a serious hamstring injury against Brentford on the 9th of September, and has missed out on the majority of Villa’s season so far while in recovery.

The Villa academy graduate is now looking set to return in the coming days, but their clash against Sheffield United this weekend unfortunately comes too soon for the 19-year-old.
