Alex Bruce admits he would hate to be a defender against Wolves if they were to sign West Ham forward Michail Antonio this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Premier League centre-back has been left raving over the prospect of an attacking trio consisting of the 30-year-old, Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez.
The Athletic report that Wolves are interested in the West Ham forward as he heads into the final year of his contract at the London Stadium.
Manager David Moyes has recently revealed, via Football.London, that talks over a new deal at the London Stadium are not yet underway.
Bruce believes Wolves will not be the only side looking to pounce on Antonio if he does not commit to a new contract and admits the prospect him at Molineux is an exciting one.
Bruce told Football Insider: “That wouldn’t be a bad force going forward, would it?
“Adama Traore on one side, him going through the middle – I wouldn’t fancy playing against them two, that’s for sure, with Jimenez lurking around.
“It seems pretty decent striking options if you add him to the squad. I’m sure West Ham will be looking to tie him down and if they don’t there will be a host of clubs looking because he’s a good player.”
Antonio has scored just four goals for West Ham this season, with two of those strikes coming since the Premier League restart.
In comparison, Raul Jimenez has netted 24 goals across all competitions this season, with 15 of those coming in the Premier League.
In other Wolves news, Danny Mills has made a bold claim as Liverpool chase a Molineux ace.
