Bruno Fernandes reacts to Leny Yoro’s ‘decisive’ post amid Man United exit rumours
Leny Yoro gained the attention of Bruno Fernandes on social media as rumours continue to swirl around the Man United captain’s future.
Both players had a vital role in the Red Devils’ 2-2 draw against Lyon during the week, with Yoro scoring his first goal in United colours as Andre Onana‘s off-field antics spilt onto the pitch.
With the goalkeeper in communication with Nemanja Matic before the Europa League game, it was the Lyon midfielder who had the last laugh, watching from the bench as Onana messed up twice for Man United.
While Fernandes was not able to get on the scoresheet on Thursday, 10 April, he notched his 85th assist since arriving at Old Trafford in 2020, but fears are being sparked ahead of the summer transfer window.
Supporters are concerned about the potential departure of their captain, but Football Insider understands that Man United have no immediate concerns about Fernandes leaving this summer.

Taking to Instagram (11 April), Yoro wrote: “First goal for the badge. All set for a decisive night at Old Trafford,” with a praise emoji, gaining plenty of attention on social media.
Nottingham Forest‘s Anthony Elanga replied: “That’s it, my man,” while Yoro’s teammates Joshua Zirkzee, Manuel Ugarte, Amad Diallo and Fernandes all liked the post.
Ruben Amorim fighting to keep his job at Old Trafford
Football Insider verdict
Ruben Amorim is fighting to stay alive in Manchester, despite only arriving just five months ago from Sporting CP, with the Red Devils continuing to slide down the Premier League table.
Man United are now without a win in three matches, with Rayan Cherki firing in a 95th-minute equaliser in France, and the team now heading back to Old Trafford with their heads hanging low.
Man United’s last 5 results | Competition |
Lyon 2-2 Man United | Europa League |
Man United 0-0 Man City | Premier League |
Nottingham Forest 1-0 Man United | Premier League |
Leicester City 0-3 Man United | Premier League |
Man United 4-1 Real Sociedad | Europa League |
Amorim has certainly not been helped by the quality of players in the squad, with Man United supporters ready to get rid of Rasmus Hojlund, while Zirkzee is only just finding his feet in England.
Alejandro Garnacho has also been a source of frustration, with the young Argentine getting into good areas but seriously lacking some end-product in his game.
The summer transfer window will be extremely important for the manager ahead of next season, but if they can keep Fernandes from leaving, it should be easy to build the team around him.
