Bruno Fernandes sends message to Jadon Sancho after what he did for Chelsea
Jadon Sancho was praised by his former Man United teammate Bruno Fernandes following his impressive Chelsea debut.
The 24-year-old came off the bench at half-time against Bournemouth on Saturday (14 September) and positively impacted the game.
Sancho picked up the Man of the Match award and assisted Christopher Nkunku’s late winner in Chelsea’s 1-0 victory.
The winger shared a photo from the game on Instagram and was met with a plethora of positive comments from teammates, old and new.
One of those came from his former Man United teammate Fernandes, who said: “Some player you keep that smile.”
Sancho departed Old Trafford on deadline day to join Chelsea on a loan-to-buy deal.
Chelsea are looking to get the best out of Jadon Sancho
Sancho had a torrid time during his spell at Man United, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in 83 games in all competitions.
Sancho’s appearance against Bournemouth marked his first in the Premier League this season after failing to get into the matchday squad for any of Man United’s opening three fixtures.
The England international had a bust-up with his former boss Erik ten Hag last season, which led to him spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues currently sit two places above Man United in eighth place, boasting a one-point advantage over Sancho’s former club.
Chelsea will be back in action on Saturday (21 September) against local rivals West Ham United.
