‘Brutal’, ‘What’s going on’ – Rangers fans blast mainstay for display v Dundee
Rangers fans on social media weren’t happy with striker Alfredo Morelos’ performance in the match against Dundee at Ibrox, which ended 4-0 to the Light Blues.
The 21-year-old hasn’t been in the best of form since missing two great chances against Celtic last month, and he had another poor performance against the Dens Park men.
One supporter went so far as to claim that Kenny Miller, who scored the opening goal for the Gers against Dundee, was better than Morelos.
Despite his poor performance, Morelos did manage to get his name on the scoresheet, scoring the Gers’ second goal, but that wasn’t enough to impress supporters.
The Rangers mainstay, who signed from HJK Helsinki in the summer for a fee of £900,000, has for the most part been in good form for the Light Blues this season, scoring 18 goals so far.
But his form seems to have fallen off a cliff since the bad misses against Celtic, and the stories linking the player with a big money move to China in January, which didn’t materialise.
The player was also guilty of missing some chances against the league leaders in December, and manager Graeme Murty will have a big decision to make with regards to the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic.
With Miller scoring and Jason Cummings also available Murty will have a big decision to make when it comes to what strikers to start in the game at Hampden.
