Bukayo Saka and Ryan Gravenberch joined numerous players in reacting to Jurrien Timber’s update amid his ongoing injury troubles.

Timber suffered a devastating ACL injury on his Arsenal debut last season, sidelining him for the remainder of the campaign until a brief return on the final day.

This season, the Dutchman has made an impressive 48 appearances for the Gunners, including 30 in the Premier League.

Timber has been brilliant for Arsenal, with standout displays against Real Madrid, have underlined his quality, but the relentless schedule following such a serious injury appears to have taken its toll.

With no natural backup in the squad, Timber’s workload increased, and he hasn’t featured in Arsenal’s last three league fixtures. On 21 May, it was confirmed by that he has undergone ankle surgery [BBC Sport].

Despite undergoing surgery that will keep him sidelined for several weeks, Jurrien Timber provided a positive update for Arsenal fans and teammates via Instagram.

He wrote: “It’s a wrap, time to recharge and look ahead” alongside a photo of himself on crutches.

A host of teammates showed support, with Saka and Declan Rice liking the post, while Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Magalhaes responded in the comments with emojis. Timber also received backing from fellow Dutch players Gravenberch and Joshua Zirkzee, who both liked the update.

Arsenal have been plagued by injury setbacks throughout the season, with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Magalhaes among those ruled out until the summer. The upcoming break should allow Timber time to fully recover without the pressure of being rushed back.
