Bukayo Saka can achieve something only Thierry Henry has against West Ham

Bukayo Saka will be keen to spearhead Arsenal to a victory over London rivals West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday.

The England winger scored a 92nd-minute goal as Arsenal defeated Olympiacos 2-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday, 1 October.

Mikel Arteta’s men will earn their fourth consecutive win across all competitions if they defeat the Hammers on 4 October.

Meanwhile, Arsenal ace Declan Rice could prove the difference-maker against his former club West Ham, who are vying for their first win under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is set for his 200th Premier League appearance

Saka is set to be given a new contract which will make him one of the Premier League’s top earners, while the Gunners vie to win the top-flight title.

If the 24-year-old features against Espirito Santo’s men, he will make his 200th league outing for the North London club.

Only the legendary Thierry Henry has scored on his 200th Premier League appearance for Arsenal, which the academy graduate would love to emulate.

West Ham United must be wary of key Mikel Arteta trait

Arteta has made Arsenal a major threat from set pieces, with nine of their last 14 Premier League goals coming from corners, including Gabriel Magalhaes’ late winner against Newcastle United last time out.

Newcastle (A)1-2
Olympiacos (H)2-0
Arsenal are in top form.

Meanwhile, West Ham have conceded eight goals from set pieces this season, which is more than any other top-flight side.

Therefore, Arsenal know exactly where they can exploit the East Londoners, whereas Espirito Santo has a serious issue to rectify.

Victory over the Hammers would see Arteta’s men occupy top spot in the Premier League, at least until the conclusion of Liverpool’s evening clash with Chelsea.

Contrastingly, West Ham could end the weekend at the bottom of the top-flight table if they are beaten by the Gunners and Wolves get the better of Brighton on Sunday.

The East London outfit have not enjoyed a victory since their 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest on 31 August, whereas Arsenal’s last defeat came on the same day.
