Bukayo Saka reacts to Gabriel Martinelli’s heartfelt Arsenal message

Gabriel Martinelli had a heartfelt message for Arsenal supporters after beating Ipswich in the Premier League.

Arsenal sealed an emphatic 4-0 win over Ipswich in what was a near-perfect week for Mikel Arteta’s side, just days after booking their place in the Champions League semi-finals.

Leandro Trossard bagged a brace, while Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri also found the net in a dominant display at Portman Road.

However, there was a worrying moment in the second half when Bukayo Saka was at the end of reckless challenge from Leif Davis.

The Ipswich defender was shown a straight red, and former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett slammed Davis after his tackle and claimed he may not play again this season following the incident.

Despite that setback, the result was crucial for Arsenal, who are still looking to lock in Champions League football for next season.

After the match, Martinelli shared a message with fans to mark a personal milestone, following his return to the scoresheet and a standout performance.

Gabriel Martinelli hits 50-goal milestone for Arsenal after Ipswich strike

Martinelli reached a major milestone in an Arsenal shirt after netting against Ipswich, bringing his total tally to 50 goals for the club.

The Brazilian marked the achievement with a post on Instagram, simply writing: “50 goals for the Arsenal. Proud.”

He received plenty of love from his teammates, with Declan Rice commenting, “He’s from Sao Paulo…” in reference to the fan chant, while William Saliba and Saka both liked the post.

It’s been a memorable week for Martinelli, who also scored the winner at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier in the week.

However, his overall campaign has been mixed, with Arsenal fans critical of Martinelli for his form and goal return, with just nine goals so far this season.

Still, with form picking up at a crucial point, the Brazilian could yet play a vital role in Arsenal’s run-in as they chase European success.

Arsenal target Kingsley Coman as part of summer attacking overhaul

With Raheem Sterling expected to return to Chelsea following an underwhelming loan spell, Arteta is set to reshape his attacking options this summer.

Football Insider has revealed that Arsenal are in pole position to land Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, who has just two years remaining on his contract.

The Gunners are expected to strengthen their depth in wide areas, particularly after periods without Saka exposed a lack of cutting edge in the final third. Coman’s versatility and experience could be the perfect addition as Arsenal look to bolster their squad for another title push next season.
