Callum Hudson-Odoi shocked by Nottingham Forest teammates vs Brighton

Nottingham Forest winder Callum Hudson-Odoi took to social media to send a message to his teammates after their 7-0 Premier League demolition of Brighton.

The 24-year-old missed out on Forest’s comprehensive win after picking up a groin injury in their 3-2 win over Southampton earlier in January.

Brighton defender Lewis Dunk’s own goal opened the scoring for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side before Morgan Gibbs-white doubled their lead in the 25th minute.

In-form striker Chris Wood then got the first of his three goals just after the half-hour mark before rounding off his hattrick in the 64th and 69th minutes.

Nico Williams and Jota Silva then got in on the act, scoring Forest’s sixth and seventh goals in a late two-minute goal blitz.

Former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official Keith Hackett weighed in on a key incident involving Danny Welbeck and Nikola Milenkovic, which could have influenced the game, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.

The winger had been key for Forest before his recent injury setback, starting 18 of his 22 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing two assists in his 1575 minutes of action.

Football Insider revealed (January 28) that Forest are still looking to bolster their attacking options, and are looking to make a move for Matheus Cunha.

Hudson-Odoi took to Instagram to share his reaction to Forest’s massive win over Brighton, saying: “Damnnnnn! What a reaction.”

Forest had lost 5-0 to Bournemouth in their previous Premier League fixture but are now level on points with Arsenal in second (47).

Espirito Santo’s attention will turn from their remarkable Premier League campaign to the FA Cup as they prepare for a trip to League One side Exeter on Tuesday (February 4).
