Arsenal 'definitely interested' in signing Calvert-Lewin as top targets reported - pundit
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin “would thrive” at Arsenal, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former striker of both clubs, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the Gunners would “definitely” be interested in signing the 24-year-old even though “he’d cost a lot of money”.
According to The Sun (October 6th), Arsenal have identified Everton’s Calvert-Lewin and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as transfer targets.
It comes as the London club draw up a list of potential replacements for the soon to depart Alexandre Lacazette.
The French striker’s contract at the Emirates expires next summer.
However, Campbell fears Everton would not entertain offer for Calvert-Lewin.

“Calvert-Lewin would definitely thrive at Arsenal,” he told Football Insider.
“We get down the sides and put plenty of crosses in. Our problem is, we’ve got nobody in there who in an aerial threat.
“There was talk about Tammy Abraham a couple of months ago and Calvert-Lewin is a similar build. He would definitely fit in.
“My worry is that Everton won’t sell him. Calvert-Lewin is still young. He is still learning his trade even though he’s already so effective. Would they really entertain offers for one of their best players from a rival?
“Of course, if you’re Arsenal, you’re definitely interested even though he’d cost a lot of money.”
Calvert-Lewin has scored 56 goals in 176 appearances for the Toffees.
He has four years remaining on his contract at Goodison Park.
