Kevin Campbell is adamant Jack Grealish will leave Aston Villa over the next 18 months.
The former Arsenal and West Brom striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, tipped “one of the big boys are going to come in and sign” the 25-year-old.
Grealish has enjoyed a fine start to the 2020/21 campaign, grabbing four goals, six assists and his first three England caps.
Villa confirmed in September that Grealish had signed a new deal running until 2025 to extend his spell at his boyhood club.
A Villa source has told Football Insider the deal is worth around £100,000-a-week, equivalent to more than £25million in total.
Campbell claims the contract will have been a “massive boost” to the Villa captain but he does not expect him to see it out.
“I was impressed with the way he carried the team last season,” he told Football Insider.
“They just survived but now they have made some good signings. Ollie Watkins is a smart signing and Ross Barkley makes a massive difference as well.
“It takes a little bit of the heat off Jack Grealish and that allows him to play with a bit more freedom.
“It would have been a massive boost for his confidence, signing a lucrative new deal in the summer.
“The club have shown him loyalty and he has shown it back but I truly believe that Jack Grealish will not be at Aston Villa in a couple of seasons time.
“One of the big boys are going to come in to sign him. I really do believe that because he is a fantastic player.”
