Kevin Campbell has backed Ross Barkley to rediscover his best form if he moves to West Ham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker suggested David Moyes knows how to get the best out of the 27-year-old from their time together at Goodison Park.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are interested in signing the attacking midfielder this summer but would favour a loan deal.
Barkley spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Villa Park and contributed three goals and one assist in 24 appearances in what was ultimately a disappointing spell in the Midlands.
At the London Stadium, Barkley could be reunited with a manager whom he excelled under and made his professional debut under as a teenager at Everton in 2011.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if Barkley would be a welcome addition at West Ham, Campbell said: “I think he would be a top, top signing for West Ham.
“He is definitely someone who could be a real creative force for them and lets not forget that David Moyes knows him very well. He knows him as a character and he knows what he can do on the pitch.
“Barkley is a fantastic player, he just needs a manager who can push him and keep him on the right track because the talent is there.
“We have seen Moyes do it with Lingard so why not Barkley?”
