Campbell backs West Brom to re-sign Yokuslu after ‘great’ update
Kevin Campbell has claimed it would be a “great bit of business” if West Brom can re-sign Okay Yokuslu this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Albion and Arsenal striker backed the 27-year-old to adapt to Championship football if he returns to The Hawthorns.
Yokuslu impressed while on loan at West Brom in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Spanish outlet Faro de Vigo (4th July), the Baggies have made moves to re-sign the midfielder from Celta Vigo despite their relegation.
West Brom have already strengthened in the middle of the park with the signing of Alex Mowatt on a free transfer.
When asked by Football Insider if he would welcome Yokuslu’s return, Campbell said: “It would be a great bit of business if they can get him back.
“The Championship is brutal though so there’s always a slight doubt when a player hasn’t played in it before.
“He has done well in the top leagues, he is a good player, but the Championship is relentless. It is game after game after game, it is tough.
“The key is to try and build a big squad that is capable of chopping and changing because you need to rest players here and there.
“Yokuslu is a very good player so I think he could adapt.”

Yokuslu made 16 Premier League appearances for the Baggies.
The 37-times Turkey international has two years remaining on his contract at the Spanish club.
