Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen for his performances this season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker claimed the 24-year-old has played a “massive part” in the Hammers’ transformation into an effective attacking unit.

A 2-1 win over Spurs on Sunday propelled David Moyes’s side into the top four, with 13 games of the 2020-21 campaign remaining.

Bowen told talkSPORT earlier this month that the Irons aspire to finish in the European spots, with the squad not happy settling for Premier League survival this season.

A £22million signing from Hull in January 2020, Bowen has contributed five goals and four assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season – no West Ham player has more goal involvements.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the Hammers’ recent form and the role of Bowen, Campbell said”

“West Ham have done really well of late and Jarrod Bowen has proved to be an amazing signing 12 months on.

“I think there has been a key transition from them being a defensive side, to a side who are much more effective with the ball and want to progress up the football pitch quickly.

“Jarrod Bowen plays a massive part in that. He has been brilliant.”

Speaking to talkSPORT, Bowen said: “We know what the manager wants, we have all bought into his philosophy of wanting European football.

“People probably don’t expect us to be up and around it, so to keep winning each week and keep sniffing around the top six, top five areas is great for us.”
