Campbell issues ‘massive’ West Ham claim after update on David Moyes’ future – ‘it is worrying’

Kevin Campbell is “worried” about West Ham after their EFL Cup exit to Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the visit of Leicester City is now “a massive one” for David Moyes.

The Hammers were knocked out the EFL Cup by Blackburn Rovers on penalties, three days on from their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The London club are currently 15th in the Premier League table and just two points above the relegation zone.

Leicester City travel to the London Stadium on Saturday (12 November).

Speaking on The West Ham Way Podcast (8 November), ExWHUEmployee claimed the board are fully behind Moyes despite a poor start to the 2022-23 campaign.

When asked by Football Insider if there is mounting pressure on Moyes’ position at the London Stadium, Campbell said: “The consistency is not there at West Ham right now.

“It is worrying. I understand why there is frustration among the fans. They want to be challenging the top six.

“Right now, they are in a light relegation battle. It is not what they signed up for.
