Campbell makes bold Bryan prediction and reveals what he ‘knows’ about West Brom signing
Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on the West Brom board for “acting quick” to sign Kean Bryan.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Albion and Arsenal striker backed the 24-year-old, whom he knows through his son Tyrese, to prove to be “a really smart” signing.
West Brom confirmed the signing of Bryan on a two-year deal on Tuesday morning after this site revealed the club’s interest.
The centre-half was available on a free transfer following his the expiration of his contract at Sheffield United at the end of June.
Campbell tipped Bryan to start for the Baggies against Millwall this weekend given Matt Clarke and Dara O’Shea’s injuries.
“I think it’s a really smart move on a free,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“I know Kean Bryan. He was at Man City when my lad [Tyrese Campbell] was there. He is a decent player and is someone who can slot straight into that back line.
“I think he is another good signing, especially on a free. It makes a lot of sense.
“The board deserve praise for acting that quickly. They have been working quick since Valerien Ismael came in. They are not messing around and that is so important.

“Momentum is so key. If you do not replace the injured players and play with a significantly weakened team for two or three weeks, you might drop a hatful of points. You cannot do that in the Championship.
“I think he could start this weekend. It’s definitely a possibility.”
