Campbell: Tanganga will be thrilled by ‘big’ Tottenham transfer update from Times

Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Adama Traore as Tottenham prepare to launch a late-window move for the Wolves winger.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker claimed the “pace and power” the 25-year-old possesses could be a “big asset” to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season.

According to The Times (August 23rd), Spurs are pushing hard to sign the winger before next Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

A loan bid with an option to buy is said to have already been rejected by Wolves who would only consider a permanent deal or loan with obligation to buy.

Campbell claims Tanganga will be a relieved man if Spurs sign Traore after he was given the runaround by the Wolves winger on Sunday.

“Traore would definitely be a big asset to Spurs,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“Nuno knows him very well and knows what he is capable of.

“He has pace and power and that scares the life out of defenders. He is a very dangerous player so if Spurs could get that one over the line before the deadline closes it would be great for them.

“I’m sure Tanganga would be happy as well because Traore gave him the runaround last weekend.

“Wolves just couldn’t score though. I don’t know how they lost that game.

“Spurs are looking alright after the first two games but strengthening your squad with someone like Traore is definitely a smart move.”
