'Buzzing', 'Can't wait' - Celtic fans react on Twitter after Rangers beat Hearts

Celtic fans on social media can’t wait for the prospect of an Old Firm title party at Celtic Park next Sunday.

With the Gers defeating Hearts 2-1 at Ibrox, the Hoops can clinch the title against their greatest rivals for the first time since 1979 with with a win in the East End of Glasgow.

The Hoops could also clinch the title with a draw, if Aberdeen fail to win when they take on Hearts at Pittodrie on Friday night.

The scenarios which could see the Hoops clinch their seventh title in a row was explained by the club’s head of digital media Gerry McCulloch, on his personal Twitter account.

It’s fair to say that fans are looking forward to winning the title against their biggest rivals, with one claiming that it is ‘going to be some day’.

The Hoops previously had the chance to clinch the title against their biggest rivals at Ibrox in 2012, but they lost 3-2 and ended the game with nine men.

Brendan Rodgers’ side could have won the title against Hibernian at Easter Road, but lost 2-1, which delayed any potential celebrations for at least a week.
