Carlos Carvalhal delivers Leeds verdict ahead of weekend clash

By Harvey Byrne

Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has shared that he believes Leeds are having a “fantastic season” ahead of the weekend clash.

The Yorkshire giants are currently preparing to welcome the Owls to Elland Road for an all Yorkshire encounter.

There is also added focus on the weekend fixture with the two teams in fifth and sixth place respectively with only goal difference separating them.

Ahead of the match, Carvalhal shared in his press conference, as quoted by the official Wednesday Twitter account that Leeds were having a great season and drew comparison between the Whites and his team.

Leeds are currently going through a poor run of form which has seen them pick up two losses, one draw and just one win from their last four league matches.

But, they will be looking to return to form against a Sheffield Wednesday team who had their run of four straight victories come crashing down in midweek following a 2-1 defeat against Brentford.

When the two teams last met August Leeds ran out convincing 2-0 victors with goals from Chris Wood and Marcus Antonsson and they will be hoping for the same again on Saturday.
