Carroll: This is what Pochettino will be telling Tottenham players ahead of Swansea clash
By Will Butcher
Tom Carroll believes Mauricio Pochettino will be telling his players that Tottenham still have a chance of winning the Premier League title this year.
Former Spurs star Carroll goes up against his old employers on Wednesday night with new side Swansea in the Premier League, after moving to the Welsh outfit in January.
Carroll, 24, played under Argentinian boss Pochettino for two and a half years before signing for Swansea and the midfielder reckons his former boss will be keen to keep the faith.
In quotes published by ESPN, Carroll stated that in an ideal world he would see Tottenham win the Premier League title this season, but still wants three Swansea points on Wednesday night.
“Knowing the manager I am sure he will be telling the lads the title race is very much on,” Carroll said. “Last year was a good year for them, they were close and they have top-class players.

“Ideally, we would take three points off them on Wednesday — because that is the most important thing for me — and then they go on and win it.”
England Under-21’s international Carroll, who moved to Swansea for £4.5million, has starred for the Welsh giants in the middle of the park under Paul Clement.
Wearing the number 42 shirt with Paul Clement’s side, Carroll has been instrumental in his new side’s Premier League revival as they look to avoid relegation from the top flight.
Four wins in their last 11 games has seen the Welsh side edge out of the bottom three, and will be looking to climb even further to safety with three points against Spurs.
However, Carroll and the rest of the Swans side will be huge underdogs despite being at home, as Spurs look to reduce the gap between themselves and Chelsea to four points.
