Casemiro sends message to Man United teammate after devastating injury blow

Man United midfielder Casemiro took to social media to send a message of support to teammate Lisandro Martinex after his devastating injury setback.

Martinez, 27, is set to miss the rest of the season and a large chunk of next for Man United after tearing his ACL in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday (February 2).

The Argentina international was stretchered off in tears, with many fans believing his injury could have serious ramifications for the already struggling team.

Martinez’s injury is a major blow for Ruben Amorim’s side, with just Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Johnny Evans, and Victor Lindelof, the only natural options available to play in the Portuguese coach’s 3-4-3 system.

Many fans are worried the club’s unwillingness to back their new manager in the January transfer window may cause Amorim to question his position at the club.

Martinez had been key for United before his most recent injury, starting 31 of his 32 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing two assists in his 2711 minutes of action.
