Casemiro won’t play for Man United again as footage v Liverpool analysed – fans

Man United fans are fuming at Casemiro after his performance in the pre-season friendly defeat against Liverpool as new footage emerged.

Erik ten Hag’s men were defeated 3-0 by Liverpool in the final game of their pre-season tour of the USA, with the midfielder highlighted as a particular weakness.

His performance was summed up when Fabio Carvalho feinted to shoot before dragging the ball back across him, leaving Casemiro on the ground.

A clip of the incident quickly went viral on social media with rival fans revelling in United’s loss, with the midfielder at fault again.

Football Insider revealed on 16 July that United remain keen to cut ties with the Brazilian, and are willing to take a “huge” loss on their investment with his sale.

Now, fans have also turned on him after his latest showing, with calls for the club to cut ties with him as soon as possible.

His performance against Liverpool was described as “awful” and “finished”, as fans insisted he must not start the Community Sheild clash v Man City on 10 August.
