By Dominic Toner

Celtic winger James Forrest has been named in the Scottish Professional Football League team of the week after the Hoops beat Kilmarnock 3-1 in the league.

The 25-year-old helped his side record a home victory on Saturday and it maintained their unbeaten domestic record this season.

Stuart Armstrong put the Boys in front in the first-half, but Jordan Jones drew the visitors level in the 65th minute.

However, attackers Scott Sinclair and Forrest secured the three points with goals, with the latter scoring a header from close-range.

Forrest was the only Celtic star named in the SPFL’s team of the week, as cited by their official Twitter account.
