Moussa Dembele has had two hugely impressive seasons at Celtic but he is unlikely to have a third.
The player came close to quitting in the January window, when manager Brendan Rodgers demoted him from the team and openly admitted that his star forward’s future was in major doubt.
Celtic clearly think he is unlikely to stay amid intense interest from Premier League clubs and are already planning for life without the brilliant centre-forward.
As revealed by Football Insider, Celtic are planning to make three senior summer signings. Rodgers wants to bring in a new right-back, a right-sided winger and a striker as he continues his rebuilding at Parkhead and builds a side capable of challenging in Europe as well as continuing to dominate domestically.
Hoops fans’ hearts will sink at the impending exit of Dembele, who has made a huge impact since initially joining in the summer of 2016 when Celtic took advantage of cross-border rules to snap him up for £300,000 when his Fulham contract had expired.

His numbers have stacked up over the last two years, with 45 goals and 17 assists from 81 appearances.
Dembele’s second campaign has not quite lived up to his outstanding first, when his 32 goals and capacity to deliver on the biggest occasions made him one of the of the best young strikers in Europe.
Replacing the young Frenchman, who has two years remaining on his Celtic contract, will not be easy.
His quick feet, pace, power and ability to lead the line are unmatched not only at the Scottish champions but in the entire SPL and he would walk into many Premier League sides.
Dembele is an outstanding young player and Celtic have been lucky to have him.
In other Celtic news, it has been revealed today that the Scottish champions have launched a bid to sign the a brilliant English Championship player who is out of contract this summer.
