Celtic fans have reacted to the news that Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has turned down the chance to become the new manager of Rangers.
Gers have been searching for a new boss since Pedro Caixinha was sacked in October after just seven months in charge.
Aberdeen manager McInnes had been the favourite to succeed Caixinha at Ibrox after missing yesterday’s training session and a press conference earlier today.
However, a shock twist has seen the 46-year-old decide to turn down Rangers and remain at Aberdeen, leaving Gers with seemingly nowhere to go in their search for a new boss.
The news was announced on the Aberdeen Twitter page on Thursday evening.

Surely no one is surprised. McInnes is staying at the second biggest club in Scotland and has turned down an absolute minnow. Not really a decision for him.

Under-20s coach Graeme Murty has been in caretaker charge at Ibrox since October, winning four of his six matches as interim boss, including back-to-back wins over McInnes’ Aberdeen last week.
Celtic are currently top of the Scottish Premiership table, seven points ahead of second-place Rangers, having played a game fewer.
The Hoops travel to fourth-placed Hibernian in Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon, while Rangers face struggling Ross County on Saturday.
In other Celtic news, the club could face a bid from this Premier League side for Moussa Dembele, according to a report.
