'Reduces me to tears' - Celtic fans destroy one player after win v Hamilton

By Danny Wright

Celtic fans were left unimpressed by the performance of goalkeeper Craig Gordon in Friday night’s 4-1 win at Hamilton.

The Hoops were in commanding form throughout the game but their chance of a clean sheet was blown in the 86th minute thanks to a Alexandros Gogic goal – which many supporters feel was Gordon’s fault.

Nevertheless, Gogic’s late goal proved to be a mere consolation for an Accies side that was totally outclassed by the reigning Scottish champions throughout the 90 minutes.

Stuart Armstrong and a Scott Sinclair brace got the Bhoys off to a good start in the first-half before debutant Odsonne Edouard found the net in the 65th minute to round off proceedings at the SuperSeal Stadium.

In what was a relatively straightforward night for Brendan Rodgers’ men, there was still a talking point that was brought up after the game after Gordon’s supposed blunder.

Many fans feel he was at fault for not only that goal but most of the goals Celtic have conceded this season.

One supporter even said that the Scotland international’s displays are ‘reducing him to tears’.

Here is a selection of the fans’ tweets:

Celtic returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership table thanks to Friday’s win over Hamilton but they could find themselves knocked off their perch by Aberdeen if they get a result against Hearts on Saturday.

In other Celtic news, Chris Sutton has destroyed this defender for snubbing a move to Parkhead.
