'Square root of chronic' – Celtic fans tear hair out after one player has a shocker v Zenit

Brendan Rodgers decided to keep faith in the same XI that beat Zenit 1-0 at Parkhead last Thursday.
And, to be fair to him, most Celtic fans were delighted with his decision before the game kicked off.
Unfortunately, their enthusiasm didn’t last long after a terrible bit of defending gave Branislav Ivanovic an easy header to score in just the seventh minute of the game.
It got even worse for Celtic midway through the first half when Daler Kuzyaev got Zenit’s second to put them ahead on the night and on aggregate.
It didn’t change a lot – a Celtic goal would still put them through and fans were calling for Rodgers to make changes at half-time, with most criticism saved for midfielder Eboue Kouassi.
Koussai has been solid for Celtic in the past few weeks but had a really poor first half and fans were worried he would get sent off after getting a yellow card in the first half.
Rodgers agreed and din’t wait, hooking him off after 45 minutes for Tom Rogic.
Unfortunately for Celtic, things didn’t improve and Zenit ran out 3-0 winners on the night.
