Celtic fans react on Twitter to Sinclair display against Rangers

By Amir Mir

Scott Sinclair scored the winning goal as Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon – and fans on Twitter hailed his performance.

Summer signing Sinclair played the full match as Brendan Rodgers side came from a goal down to beat their bitter rivals for a third time this season.

Kenny Miller had given the home side the lead, but attacking duo Moussa Dembele and Sinclair helped their team record a 15th win on the bounce in the league by cancelling out Miller’s opener.

Fans on Twitter believe that Sinclair has made a big difference to the side following his summer move from Midlands giants Aston Villa.

While another supporter felt that the Englishmen deserved his goal after his pace and movement proved to be a threat throughout the match.

One fan singled out the trio of Sinclair, Armstrong and Dembele for a top quality performance at Ibrox.

Overall, the Celtic faithful hailed the outstanding display of Sinclair and the team.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Sinclair has played 27 Scottish Premiership, Champions League and League Cup games for the Hoops this season following his summer transfer from Aston Villa.

The former Premier League player has scored 12 goals and provided three assists during that time, despite being part of Villa’s humiliating relegation last term where he scored only two league goals.

As a result of the win, Rodgers side are now 19 points clear at the top of the SPL table heading into the new year.
