Brendan Rodgers has named his starting XI to take on Paris Saint-Germain – and Celtic fans are delighted to see the manager has decided to axe Scott Sinclair from his line-up.
Sinclair, Stuart Armstrong and Nir Bitton make way for Tom Rogic, Olivier Ntcham and Jozo Simunovic as the three changes to Celtic’s starting XI from Saturday’s win over Ross County, as confirmed by the club’s official Twitter account prior to kick-off on Wesnesday.
The Hoops take on the free-spending French side in the Champions League in Paris as they stand on the brink of securing a place in the Europa League after Christmas.

The Scottish champions needed a second-half free-kick from substitute Leigh Griffiths to beat Ross County 1-0 on Saturday as they extended their record-breaking unbeaten domestic run to 64 games.
If the Hoops avoid defeat and Anderlecht lose to Bayern Munich in the group’s other game then Celtic will be assured of a place in the Europa League knockout rounds in early 2018.
Fans were delighted to see Sinclair axed after a run of disappointing performances in recent months – with one calling him a “wasted jersey.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Armstrong, Sinclair missing out is a fair reflection of their form

Quite happy with Sinclair dropping out the team. Bit harsh with Biton but probably the right call

Senior star Sinclair was a stand-out last season as Rodgers’ side swept all before them domestically on their way to a domestic treble.
The former Manchester City and Aston Villa winger has however failed to come close to the form that saw him become a fan favourite for the Hoops in his debut season in Scotland.
