Celtic fans react on Twitter to Scott Bain performance in debut v Rangers

Celtic fans on Twitter weren’t impressed with the performance of goalkeeper Scott Bain in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox, which ended 3-2 to the Hoops.

The goalkeeper made his debut for the Bhoys in the match after Dorus de Vries suffered an ankle injury in training, and he was in among the action from the start in one of the most frantic Old Firm derbies in years in a match which swung from end to end.

Many supporters feel that he might have done better for Daniel Candeias’ goal which put Rangers 2-1 ahead in the first-half.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Bain’s display:

Bain joined the Bhoys in January as cover for de Vrires, who has been Hoops number one since Craig Gordon suffered a knee injury in January against Hibernian.

He had left Dundee after falling out with manager Neil McCann to join Hibernian on loan, but as he never played for them he was able to join the Hoops in January.

It will be interesting to see who is in goals for the Hoops for their trip to Fir Park to face Motherwell next Sunday, and if Bain keeps his place even when de Vries returns.
