Celtic fans on Twitter are thrilled with the news that Stuart Armstrong has returned to the Hoops squad for the match against Rangers at Ibrox.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who hasn’t played for the Bhoys since a hernia operation in January, makes his return on the bench, in a team that was announced a short time ago on the Bhoys’ official Twitter account.

The return of Armstrong as part of a very strong bench which includes the likes of Scott Sinclair, Charly Musonda and Patrick Roberts has excited supporters on social media.

Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Armstrong’s return:

The return of Armstrong has come at just the right time for the Hoops, as they aim to kill off any talk of a Rangers title challenge and try to win a second consecutive domestic treble.

Armstrong, who was a mainstay of the side with 33 appearances this season before suffering his injury, has an excellent record against the Light Blues, scoring two goals against them last season.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that the player can have a big impact not only on the game at Ibrox, but also on the rest of the season as it enters the final stages.
